November 11 FA to quiz Kinnear: Newcastle boss to explain 'Mickey Mouse' commentsFA to quiz Kinnear: Newcastle boss to explain 'Mickey Mouse' comments To help Joe explain to the FA what his comments were about here are some theories of mine. Explanation One: Mickey and Minnie debuted in the cartoon short Plane Crazy, first released on May 15, 1928. Maybe this will help the FA understand Joe’s comment that the decision made by Martin Atkinson was just plane crazy. Explanation Two: Mickey as portrayed in Plane Crazy was mischievous, amorous, and has often been described as a rogue. Actually Joe may have been describing himself! Explanation Three: ‘Steamboat Willie’ The script had Mickey serving aboard Steamboat Willie under Captain Pete. At first he is seen piloting the steamboat while whistling. This maybe the best reason why Joe called the ref Mickey Mouse as he is a whistler. Or perhaps it really means: “Mickey Mouse" is a slang expression meaning small-time, amateurish or trivial. In the UK and Ireland, it also means poor quality or counterfeit.

Newcastle fans have been crying out for someone to come in and do the job with loyalty, passion and respect well done Joe After another emotional day, Big Joe works his magic immediately. Just a shame he didn't get to see his the boys score. For those who enjoy an extended half-time break, you missed both Toon goals! Coming back from two goals down Newcastle dominated the second half and were very unlucky to not win—a great fight back. Our first point in fifteen . Steven Taylor scored one and provided the cross for the second Steven Taylor said about his goal: "A goal near the end of the first half got us right back in the game," he added. "We were on a high and came out after half-time and equalised straight away. "The second-half performance from the lads was fantastic and we could've won it. "It has been difficult for us and we have taken a lot of flak. We got a point and it is important to go on from here." Read the full report at www.nufctoonnews.co.uk |
